2012 Give Kids A Smile

This year marked the 10th anniversary for Give Kids a Smile, an outreach program of the American Dental Association. Give Kids A Smile brings dental care to underserved children not only in Lake County but all over the United States. Local dental professionals, along with Dr. Nelson, Hygienist Dian Harrill, Patient Coordinators Elyse Nystrom and Christine Tavenier volunteered to provide free dental evaluations, cleanings, fluoride treatments and x-rays.

Dr. Nelson has participated in all 10 Give Kids A Smile events and has served as Committee Chairman in the past. Below you will find a few pictures of our staff at the event.

Dr. William D. Nelson was recently inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honor dental organization that recognizes ethics, service and achievement in the dental profession. The ceremony was held in Columbus during the Ohio Dental Association's annual meeting of their House of Delegates. Dr. Nelson has been a member of this delegation for the past eleven years. He has also served as president of the Northeast Ohio Dental Society and continues to serve as their Peer Review and Finance Chairman.

A Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry graduate, Dr. Nelson practiced 19 years in Mentor before relocating his office to the Gristmill Village at Quail Hollow in Concord. His new office is located in a free stranding building that he built with his wife, Lisa Dimberio Nelson, president and owner of Right Track Benefits and financial services.
